Imperial matcha is an organic green tea from Japan, invigorating, round and soft, which develops beautiful vegetal notes, enhanced by a powerful umami flavor.
It is made with the greatest care, from tencha leaves: 3 weeks before harvest, the tea plants are deprived of most of the light so that their leaves develop unrivaled flavors. These tencha leaves are then delicately ground as fine as flour.
It is a tea which is not infused, but which is mixed with water using a whisk. Thus, the tea leaves are absorbed directly, which explains the delicious taste of Imperial matcha, as well as its many benefits. It is a true superfood with many virtues. Rich in caffeine, with energizing properties and theanine which promotes relaxation and concentration, a bowl of matcha contains up to 3 times more catechin than any other green tea (a molecule with strong anti-oxidant power).
This tea comes from organic farming and has been certified by Ecocert, an approved independent control body.
